These horses are looking dapper because they are about to perform a very important task. They are going to move "las rocas" to the Virgin Square. "Las rocas" are big, majestic carriages showing biblical figures which take part in the Corpus Christi procession in my city. They are very old - some of them date from the 16th century, so they are real historical treasures. Every year, on the Friday before the Corpus Christi celebration (which will be held on Sunday) "las rocas" are moved form their museum to the Virgin Square, where they will remain until the procession. After that, they will be taken back to the museum until next year.
