Hoya flower by monicac

Hoya flower

One of the blooms in my hoya plant. It lives on my balcony, and it's winding itself up on the railing.

I'm not sure whether this qualifies for the "nifty-fifty" challenge. It's taken at 50mm (equivalent) and it's sooc, but obviously I've been playing with the camera settings and there was some in-camera processing.
Beautiful selective color!!

Beautiful! They have such a nice scent while blooming (I guess the drops are fragrant). I had one for years, but had to move to another place. Afterwards, it wasn't growing anymore, but still having blossoms one or two times a year.
My parents had a very old one, which covered much space on their living room wall.

@lastrami_ Thanks for your comment! This was given to me as a little cutting, and it's really strong. It blooms without fail, even if I had to cut most of it a pair of years ago because it had been attacked by some nasty bugs.

Great that you got such a strong one :) Mine was also a little cutting, and I was surprised how carefree it was (good for the plant, because I don't have a green thumb :-\ )
