Halloween is a "new" celebration for us, going back just some years. Out traditional celebration these days is All Saints' Day on November 1st. Many people visit cemeteries to bring flowers to their deceased loved ones, and we have some "huesos de santo" (saint's bones) with coffee after lunch. Huesos de santo are similar to marzipan, but not exactly the same.
From living in Mexico (and of course the movie Coco - which I love) I know that the 1st of November is Día de los muertos, but I never heard of "huesos de santo". That is why I love the 365 - I learn so many interesting things.
@merrelyn Thanks, they are really good - unfortunately they can only be found for some days a year... but it makes them more especial. Also, supermarkets have given in to halloween candy, so these sweets are hand-made in traditional bakeries.
