During Winter I walk on the beach every morning at sunrise. Its still too early at the moment but I did go down for a walk today.
There is a comfort and meditation in such ritual. This lady has her own routine, I have mine.

@monika64 Hope they come soon. My pic of the shell is done by reversing my 50mm, I tried it when I couldn't wait for my ext. tubes to come. You yesterday's pic is coooool :-)
I love the rich tones and the muted sky. Most times you end up with a bright sky and dark color. Was this how the picture turned out or did you have to process it much?
@jwlynn64 I have processed it a little but I am trying to hold back and not over process. This has a bit of tone mapping (equalising the light and shadow) and a bit of cross process filter on it. I did process and then bumped everything down.
@jwlynn64 Similar, it uses the same program but you dont take multiple exposures. Just one photo. I use photomatrix pro for this. Are you born in '64 too?
Love your processing on this one...I really need to figure this tonemapping thing out, I keep seeing it mentioned all over the place, but haven't given myself enough time to really understand it!
@monika64 Yes, the year of the Dragon! I took a basic photography class the other day and the instructor said good things about Photomatrix. I'll have to look into that.
