Moonrise over Easter

Just hours before this photo at this very beach my husband (Patrol captain) and the Surf life saving Patrol had their biggest day ever. There were 15 rescues along this very beach. They do an amazing job. People would have died here yesterday if they weren't there. I'm proud of him.
I have been impressed with the many detailed moon photos on here.... Thats what I wanted to try but hey, this is what I got and it was a beautiful evening.
Absoloutely gorgeous! : )

I've always heard that you will get a good moon photo at f9 and 1/100th of a second. Usually works for me. Of course you wouldn't have got that gorgeous beach with those settings.

@jwlynn64 Thanks John, I will try that tonight, Amanda (@corymbia) gave me similar advice last night, I was treating it as a night photo, totally wrong track. I'm happy with this one, the moon detail one another time. :)

This is probably one of my favourite of my own photos to date, one in which technical skills met beauty met processing. There are things I would change but I am pleased with the result.
Thank you all for your comments and Favs
