The Patagonian mara hare

I went to the local zoo and saw these creatures: they are something like kangaroos, like deer and like hares and a bit like dogs. But they are rodents.

They look like everything you mentioned, I have never heard of them. They don't seem to like their veggies though. I love the little one suckling.
