Good-bye and Happy New Year!!!

I am uploading this a day early because I think I am going to be pretty busy tomorrow and I wanted to write up something with my last photo.

I started Project365 in January of 2011. I have now completed four years. I never did do a photo a day. I stand in awe of you that did accomplish this on your first year. The first year I did them nearly every day. After that I used this project to keep me shooting often and editing my photos.

I think I have learned from doing this project and by meeting and talking to several of you. I have really enjoyed the community and it helped me at a point in my life when I was rather lonely.

I have some regrets about my participation. I regret not doing more of the challenges and more of the learning about your camera settings challenges. I also should have done more of the contests.

I only made the trending and popular page this year I believe for the first time. I never did make the top twenty photos:( That may be because I did not follow that many people. I did that to try to keep up at all with the people I was following.

If you followed me for any of the last four years I want to thank-you for all your comments and support over this time period. I truly have appreciated all of them.

I am taking a break from 365 because I am feeling a little burnt out at the present time, I need to devote more time to uploading to a site to try to sell some of my photos, I am becoming more involved with our local camera club and photographers locally. I am also having shoulder surgery Jan. 5th and I know if I shoot any for a few weeks it will probably be with my little lightweight point and shoot.

Good-bye and Happy New Year everyone!!!

Nice shot with the wave. Best wishes for the New Year and all the things you do. I agree with you about what a great site this is, and how hard it is to devote enough time to fully participate.
