@dianachaplin Thank you for your comments. I was lucky enough to find this shell in situ next the seedling. I used my new macro lens, uploaded to windows photo live ( don't know how to use anything else - bit of a technophobe) and simply played around with brightness, shadows, contrast, highlights etc on the slider adjuster thingy.
