Jane. I need lessons from you. This is the best of all bluebell pictures and I would be delighted to achieve something as wonderful as this by the end of the week. I find them to be such an elusive subject. I love the quote - which (iin my humble opinion) applies only to our native species - which I am pretty sure is what you have captured here.
@helenhall Thank you as always for your comments. I am absolutely amazed that someone would ask my advice as I am very much a 'private photographer' in as much as I am very self conscious. I use a Canon 70D and very much use the isolated focus point. When using the 100mm macro I always use 100 ISO and 2.8. The time is taken in finding the subject, observing the background (removing blades of grass, dead brambles etc) and then finding the right eye level. I don't use a tripod but have a bean bag (or sock full of rice). I can't fathom photoshop so any post processing is usually a crop in Windows 10. I do favour a square format but that is just me. I hope you enjoy your bluebells!
