On my birthday, I was sent a $50 QBD book voucher from a wonderful friend - Nick - who know I love books. Well, I spent up big on it yesterday at the Garden City branch of the store; and these are the books I bought. I did have chip in some of my own cash, but then, that's the price of having a passion! :D

Great selection of books...and quite diverse! Have you started any of them yet? If not, which will be the first? I think I'd be going with the John Irving book. I like your banner across the bottom of your photo - great way to show support!
@ Carolyn: I haven't begun any of them yet. However, I was thinking of the Jim Morrison one first as I'm a massive fan of his music; and I've read Danny Sugerman's other book 'Wonderland Avenue' which is about The Doors. John Irving - as I understand it - is like a fine wine and he's gotten better with age. I found his book in a book bin for only $3.99 at QBD brought down from $35.00! What a steal!
