I found this butterfly resting on the traffic island on the way home; a place of danger for these delicate things. so, I picked him up and brought him home with me.
I've had one of these snooze overnight on my front window screen overnight. So, I won't be surprised if this one hangs about in my yard for that long too.

The most wonderful thing is that when I checked on him to see if he had passed away in my garden, I found him gone. So, I think he was just resting up... and what a lovely, shady place to do just that; in my garden. :)
