Epilepsy Symposia 2011

Today, I was up at sparrowfart to be ready by 7:45am for Mum and Dad to pick me up to catch a bus into the city for this Symposia. And what a tiring day!
In the morning, we listened to a satellite link from a professor from NYU who talked about everything to do with medications and herbal remedies that could help - or not - Epilepsy (and even if you don't have the condition, he said that the herbal stuff may not work). Then, there was a funny debate about how to treat the condition - or not treat it at all - and how much we should (or not) treat it. It was great.
After a strange kind of lunch, we had a professor talk about the brain in a way where - in the end - I felt as though I was in an episode of Charlie Brown and the teacher was talking to me in the classroom and not making any sense at all; just making noise.
After Mum and I left the auditorium, we handed in our response sheets with our suggestions about next time and walked around Southbank before going back and catching a bus home. It was a good day. I enjoyed myself - mostly - but I'm very tired after two full days out and about. Tomorrow, I'm home all day - yay! - and I'll be catching up on some housework.
hahahaha! Lynda you got this in one - how true it was.
I did enjoy our walk around Southbank though :)
