Yesterday I was out and about to buy a Root Beer next door at the service station when I noticed this dollar coin's year of minting. In around 1984-5 the Australian one dollar coin was first minted; and I was in primary school. And this coin has most probably seen a lot of this country, a lot of pockets, wallets, purses, handbags, streets, gutters, lounges, shoes, moneyboxes and other hiding places in that time...
