Yesterday, I spent the day preparing to bake a fruit cake. However it wasn't just any fruit cake. I have this great recipe which is a weight-watcher's delight, yet still have the full taste of any other cake around; and I use egg whites and pumpkin as binders.
However, seeing it's Christmas, I didn't wish to use just the plain old round tin; so I went out and hunted down Christmas tree moulds at K-mart, and I found them for $5.00 ea! What a steal! And don't they look great?
I'm taking one to a party tonight in the spirit of the season. However I've given the other away to some of my best friends in unit 16. They thought it was the most lovely-looking cake around; and can't wait to try it out! I'll be making another two next week. :)
