The other night, my set top box screwed up royally! It didn't catch the reception on any of the channels properly making everything pixelate and the sound get stuck for 2 hours (or more, I don't know, I turned it off and watched the second dvd of the 1st Season of 'Supernatural'). When I turned it all back on at 10pm, everything was okay... I hate it when this happens. I miss out on my favourite shows all because of a little box on my tv.
Well, yesterday, I checked the mail and a voucher I had won through Triple M (a popular radio station here in Australia) had arrived. It was for $250 at JB Hi-Fi and I was trilled! I thought it was only for $150... so you can imagine my surprise when I read it! :D
Dad and I drove to Garden City and sussed out a new television. I also sussed out two cds (one of the Chili Peppers 'I'm With You' and The Cure's Greatest Hits) and a $50 iTunes card.
We had lunch while up there and I also bought some detailing brushes at a cheap art store I normally buy my art supplies and some white paint (hey, kill two birds with one stone, better than me going up there next week! :D). I had my first takeaway food in a year of Hungry Jacks (Burger King for you guys in the States and UK) and Dad had a curry.
Once home, he helped me put it all together. Now, we're going to give away my old television and set top box with the books and remotes to charity... to somebody who really needs it. :)

@BevAnneS@digitalrn@loey5150 Thank you all for your lovely comments... not only am I fixing up out in my courtyard, but I'm also acquiring money to buy new things for indoors too! How cool is that??? And after around 5 years, it's about time I bought a new television and HD box! :D
