The other day, I took some progress photos of plants in my yard. A few months ago, I bought this plant that was potted with another. I didn't think it would survive, but it has and it's going very well, but it looks very vicious this close up, doesn't it?

@melissapike I do love my unusual plants... and this one really is unusual. I have to be careful, though, not to scratch myself with its spines. It's not poisonous, but it can break the skin a little.
it looks like some aloe plants that I have; they're pretty tough and prolific. new ones sprout in the pots off the old ones and I'll have to thin them soon.
@weshook It's a very tiny plant... and not as fleshy as it appears in the photo. But the thorns on it and the way it displays are from the succulent family.
