A Boiler of a Day!

Yesterday, it was a stinker of a day here in Brisbane!

In Logan City, we had 42 degrees Celcius (102F).
In Brisbane City, it was 44 degrees Celcius (107F).
Ipswich was 45 degrees Celcuis (109F).

So, it was so very hot! And this is what I did to keep myself cool...I have a water beads headband which I put in the freezer every half hour to keep cold... and I made myself a banana, mango ice-cream, milo & coffee smoothie - which only lasted 5 minutes in that glass!

And dontcha love my Kenwood blender? I bought it years ago and only use it on boiling hot days like this. It's big, loud and shiny... but makes the best smoothies... so long you don't put ice in it. :D

Well I am glad to hear that you were able to stay a little cool, even if it was in short bursts of time till you refroze the headband

@bkbinthecity @bradsworld @digitalrn Thank you all for your lovely comments. And if you think Saturday was hot... Today (Monday) is a steamer! We've had bush fires on Fraser Island - or is it Stradbroke Island (I keep getting those two confused. And there's smoke haze in the air which is keeping the heat in all day. We're due for a storm this arvo, and so it should cool things down.
