Not Abandoned!

97 / 365
After school, I decided that I was tired of being inside, so I went outside to grade my essays. However, Robin, the bird from April 26th, was so annoying and loud that I couldn’t concentrate!

After some exploration, I discovered this bird’s nest deep inside a pine tree right beside my patio and near where I was sitting! At first I thought it was abandoned, but then I noticed the two bright aqua blue eggs.

Of course, I had to have a picture of this! However, this was not easy to do. The mother bird was already mad at me for being there, and she certainly didn’t like me poking around in her home with her two unborn children. Most of the pictures were either too dark because the nest was inside the tree or too blurry because I was shaking for fear that she would come poke me to death like the birds do in the Hitchcock’s movie The Birds! (Oh, scary!)

Well, back to the grading the essays. Seven more…just seven more!

WOW look at those amazing blue eggs! I admire your bravery at getting this picture, I have a huge fear of birds and I don't think I could do it

Amazing color!! I still can't believe how these eggs can be so blue!!! "The Birds" is still vivid in my mind - glad you survived the Mother Bird attack! ;-)

Well, you definitely accomplished a tough feat. Never did that myself. So, you are braver than I!

I'm a great fan of bird nests with eggs inside -- poor mother bird, a giant monster was poking around her nest aiming a "thing" at her precious unhatched eggs....and all she could do was "squawk" !!!
I 'm glad you and the bird survived the experience (unlike the poor people in the Hitchcock movie). Definiitely excited for you that you are almost done grading your papers -- hope so them were really good and made you glad you gave this assignment.

Absolutely lovely...such a soothing blue. They look so warm and protected, even with Mama gone for a short while. Awesome

Wow! I've heard of robin's egg blue, but I've never actually seen robin's eggs, for some reason I didn't think they would be blue. Thanks for enlightening me.

wow! those eggs are a really vibrant blue....I think that's awesome that you went outside to grade papers. One time I sat in a couch in my driveway while doing my hw because it was nice out and I was tired of indoors. haha
