Changing Lights by mrssmith

Changing Lights

123 / 365
While waiting on the light to turn green, I observed these two men hard at work at changing the lights….and thought about the light bulb joke… The one that asks how many people of a certain group are needed to change, replace, or screw in a light bulb. Generally, the punch line answer highlights a certain stereotypical group. Well…I didn’t feel in the mood to stereotype today, so I’ll just say that the answer is two men...and I’m grateful that they do this job for me.

I picked up my simple camera and shot this one picture…and just as I did, the light turned green. So it was time for me to go...

I have same 'simple' camera too! Green light go! kind of a subliminal positive message to an otherwise interesting capture.

This reminds me of the childhood game we played "Red Light..Green Light" If it's green you best get a move on. It isn't often that we think about the valuable civic employees. Nice everyday capture.

That's fun that you saw the possibility and grabbed it! Most of us never see the helping hands behind this everyday iconic object! Thanks for the welcome...it's friends like you that make me want to take part in the community!

This amazes me when I think that it is something I have never seen and yet We pass so many of those lights every day without really thinking about them until they don't work

Most fortunate capture, says a lot for the use of P&S compacts. I'd slill be trying to fit the correct lens to the DSLR i ditched about 18 months ago.

There must be more men to raise and lower cranes though
