I’m thousands of miles away from London, yet the Olympics visited me in my living room today. I’m not usually into sports, but I’ve always enjoyed watching the Olympics on TV. I remember watching the games on TV with my parents when I was young. I watched cycling, diving, swimming, and gymnastics. I couldn’t go to bed until the end of the gymnastics round…so I ran out and captured this one picture for today during one of the late commercial breaks. The lights on the houses were on across the way. The colors in the sky were vibrant like the costumes and uniforms of all the many different teams participating in the Olympic Games.
Lovely... am also stuck to the TV with the Olympics... still watching it now in fact (beach volleyball :-)..)...
No ad breaks for us tho as on BBC thankfully... Plus on the red button (not sure if you have a similar thing over there) but means we have 16 channels covering all sports so sort of spoilt for choice...
Love your capture here ... very soft and appealing! Beautiful colors and great light and shadow! I only watched the girl's gymnastics for awhile. Enjoyed it very much!
Awesome capture, the subtle shades in this fading light are very difficult to capture and with an exposure of over 1 second I'm amazed at how sharp everything is.
Many past years I've watched the Olympics, but I've been to busy this summer! I haven't had the tv on since we arrived...and in what little free time I have, I'd rather see what my friends are up to! Love your late evening sunset!
