Sorry about the messy kitchen table, but you've gotta snap these opportunities as they present themselves, so you've spied the mess on my table as well.
I was having brekkie this morning, with a baby blue and gold macaw asleep on my lap and this cheeky sun conure, flitting about. He was teasing the macaw because he can't fly yet, and generally, making a pest of himself - albeit a cute one. Luckily my camera was at hand, because I couldn't jump up and grab it or else I would have dropped the macaw. The sun conure, whom we have named Sparky (because he is so bubbly and sparky) decided to taste test my cup of tea. It was luke warm by this stage, so no birds were harmed in the taking of this photo.
This is it! I made it to 365! Woo hoo! Thought I might toss it in, but I would miss it too much, so I'm going to keep going and see how far into the next 365 I get. Happy New Year's Eve to all - It's a glorious day here in Australia and set to get up to the low to mid 30's, so we're in for a hot one. Cheers

meant to tell you that I brought Meg a Conure for Xmas but she found it very stressful trying to train it and in the end we put it in one of the avairies. Beautiful bird!
@jenrobcarr Jen did you get my email about the suns? wasn't sure. We could have sold you one of ours. Sparky is the only one left and would have made a perfect pressie for Meg. He's almost human LOL
This is a great shot Marg- the colours are just gorgeous - I hope you continue to take on the spot photos - because most of the time they are the best and usually never repeated!
@jenrobcarr damn I should have messaged you on 365 Jen - these birds are gorgeous. I had a feeling you might not have got the email because we figured either way, you would have responded. I didn't re send it because I didn't want to appear pushy. Did you buy a sun conure? From Geelong? (the bird man is just interested). LOL
@murnane yes I brought one from the Pet shop in Geelong, it's a few weeks old but very nervous so that made Meg nervous I think, it seems happy in the avairy, I will buy it a mate at some stage as I hate seeing birds on their own without a friend!
Congratulations on making it to 365! Sparky is adorable, and such a typical little sun (I just had to evict Magic from my water glass so I could have a drinkl!). I'm so glad you'll be sticking around too - I always look forward to your comments and it's been fun watching the little feathered ones grow up! :)
