I know this isn't a high quality shot (camera phone in the evening); but I wanted to show everyone one of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
He is Wally Amos the person on the left.
Many in the US might know him by a different name Famous Amos Cookies.
He was the first African-American talent agent for the William Morris Agency (talent agency). He would bake cookies for his customers. The cookies were so good others convince him to start a cookie business. That business turned into Famous Amos Cookies.
Wally was also the national spoke person for illiteracy being awarded a presidential metal for his efforts.
He is one of the kindest people person's I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Everyone could learn a lot by how he conducts himself with others by just spending a couple of minutes with him.
I met him while working in Hawaii and where he has been a residence for over 30 years.
He has sold his Famous Amos Cookie company; but started a new business in Hawaii with two stores because he like baking cookies so much.
If you are ever in Honolulu, you can meet him at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani at about 5:30 PM just off Waikiki Beach.
