Snowy by mwerner

Snowy

Was out for a drive during daylight today, and was able to photograph this Snowy Owl. This is the whitest one I think I've ever seen. Normally there is a fair bit of black flecking throughout the plumage. This is an adult male, as the males have much less black than the females, but this one is cleaner even than most males I've seen.
He almost doesn't look real!! Great shot

Very cool- the older the males get, the white they get. He is very mature. Beautiful against the blue sky.

Fantastic bird. Like how the outline on the left almost melts into the sky thanks to the light.
