Nope, he's not an official exhibit at the zoo, he was a distraction! I spotted him sitting pretty in the sunlight, close to the ground, among the low bushes.
I like lizards. And I think he is a good-looking one! Green crested lizards have a very long tail. In fact, the tail makes up 75% of its total length. This one was at least 40cm long.
This was my second time shooting a lizard. Being able to photograph a lizard makes me even happier than being able to shoot flowers. 8D
His clarity and color are amazing!! One great thing about this capture (and there are many!) is that you got him at all. They are so very FAST! Here one second and gone the next. There's nothing that you can't photograph beautifully.
What an awesome capture, Livia. The color and detail your captured are excellent. I am with you, I would take photographing something like this any day over flowers or trees or really anything else. I like live subjects mostly. I hope to see some lizards at our zoo when we go and be able to capture them like you did this one. Fav
This guy is fascinating! Great capture, gal! I love that dark ring around his eye and his coloring is wonderful! Amazing how you can see his ribs, too! He looks a little hungry.

What a gorgeous wee guy - I missed this one when you posted him - I love the clarity and detail you've captured here especially those stunning little toes and the way the ring around it emphasises the eye.
