Because I'm trying to mix it up for August, I thought I'd try something new. I've seen 365ers make great water-drops-on-CD shots. I tried, and came up with nothing but great fail shots instead. XD Oh well, at least it adds color to my calendar view! 8D
@myautofocuslife Hey now... no playing the age card! :-) I'm at that awkward age where I'm too old to be hip or anything like it, but I'm not old enough to get away with the things "old" people get away with! :-P
We live here to learn. And, if we pretend we always succeed, by only posting our best stuff, then we are shooting ourselves in the foot. BTW purple is my favorite color.....so two thumbs up here!
@m9f9l Speaking of eyesight! When I sit in front of the TV, I like to have a book with me to read during the commercial breaks. And so I am constantly switching between two pairs of glasses. The Husband sees me doing this and he shakes his head at me. People with bifocals are so judgmental! 8D
Livia I love this shot... the colours are amazing. You made me smile as you remind me of my husband who wears two pairs of glasses... and is constantly switching them around... one to do his nightly crossword and the other for the television... he also is very good at losing at least one of the pairs and I think I spend a good part of my life helping to find his glasses... myself however uses variofocals lol!!! Walks away smugly lol!!!!! ♥
Lol, I've been thinking of using best viewed small sometimes. Your shot looks great though, I like the comp with the big drop off center and the colours. But then again I have bad eyesight, though not in need for bifocals yet
Ugh. I have trifocals and when I watch tv and read I have to keep twisting the angle of the glasses on my nose. I am never judgmental and wish I had three pairs of glasses.

You captured the bright just right and amazing big water droplets, too.....I viewed large and they're even bigger LOL! Great abstract and not a failure ;-)
Hahahaha, still laughin with the title. It's not as bad as you say, there again I haven't even dared with these! This is nice you have the droplets and the reflections in perfection, give yourself a break
Love this shot and the caption; the colour, the unique patterns of drops, everything. By the way, @m9f9l@myautofocuslife@aromatic my eccentric aunt used to get over this problem by just popping her reading glasses over her TV-watching ones; seemed to work for her - she looked pretty funny, though.
Okay ... just call me ignorant. Do you mean that this is on a (music) CD? Never even thought that people put water on one and then take photos. lol So does the light refraction give you that color or do you put something there to get the purple effect?! Okay ... too many questions. I wear bi-focals and I suppose that makes me judgmental. Ha. This is not (NOT) a failure. Why do you say that?!! I'm coming over for some talk and tea. :)
Looks worse when viewed large! If I had had coke in my mouth, I'd have spewed it through my nose when I read that! LOL I love the purple and blue! @tara loves purple..come see this Tara!
@tanja_1211@karenann Tanja asked the question, why it was purple, and I was thinking, trying to come up with an answer and then I read your response, Karen, and I think that must be it, light refraction! Light refraction made it purple! XD Because I didn't do anything to make it purple. I actually wanted rainbow colors! HAHAHA. That's why this shot is a fail. Nothing like what I thought I'd get. I've seen other 365ers' shots and they had such beautiful rainbow colors. Why did mine turn out purple? I'm clueless, I have no idea! Also, Karen, I hope no one was offended by my remark about people wearing bifocals being judgmental, I did add a big smiley at the end of it, it's a joke! XD Anyway, people who call other people judgmental are guilty of it first, no? 8D

I honestly can't remember the last time I was offended or who said the best quote, but I live by it, "other people's opinion of me is none of my business. I just keep living my life the best way I can"
This is such a pretty color blue! Great capture! The waterdrops look cool..I will have to try this sometime...i always wonder how people get the crowns and if they do that in the sink or bathtub or ?? any ideas?

Kudos to you Livia - I think it's a fabulous colour but I'm even more impressed that you would post it and admit that it wasn't what you were aiming for - your attitude is an inspiration.
@myautofocuslife That is so funny, when i tried this i wanted a purple/pink but all i got was a rainbow. I will have another try at this very soon. I don't think this is a fail, it turned out beautiful =)
