That flower centre certainly does look like a big glowing sun. Love the fanned out petals behind, the lighting and tight crop make this a perfect photo, fav.
This is amazing - I was at the point where I wanted to say it looked computer-generated, but in my heart I know that nothing we can do with technology will better what is already out there on this Earth - I love how this stopped me in my tracks to think about the splendid little things on our planet.

I was able to get a macro shot of the water lily because this one wasn't in the middle of a pond, it was growing and blooming in a big stone urn. I love the colors.

Fav too! I can't really add to the comments above apart from to say that it draws the eye straight away and reminds me of a blazing fire...so yeah, rising sun or roaring fire, both work. Contrasting colours like this sometimes hurt but this works so well, I suppose as nature intended! :)
