Ledge Park at the Horion Marsh in Wisconsin

Trying to discover the sweet spot of the camera for the camera settings challenge.

18mm focal point using an 18-55 kit lens
AF-S (single), F11, Manual 1/60th Spot Meter 3.3+ exposure ISO 200
Good luck with that.

@swilde What is your experience with finding the sweet spot? When you take photos in an area that the lighting changes every time you turn do you find the aperture you like and tweek the shutter speed or what is the first thing you look at? I just keep changing everything but I may not be doing it as logical as I should

@myhrhelper I tend to hold the aperture at what I want and then work everything around that. Very often ythat will be holding the lens to the sweet spot but for some shots that just won't work...If I'm after a very blurred background for example. I would suggest that you put your camera into aperture priority and then take a series of shots varying the aperture with each shot but not touching anything else.

easiest way to find the sweet spot is to do as @swilde Sue mentioned.... put it into aperture priority. It might be my imagination, but I do think there's a tad bit of diffraction going on in this shot.
