Shelter from the Storm

This is my last Monarch of the season.I could not release him today because it was too chilly for him to fly. Butterflies need a body temp of at least 80 to fly. I placed a vase of flowers in his habitat on the porch in case he feels the need to feed. ( doubtful) Hopefully he will be on his way to Mexico tomorrow . How do I know he is a he?
