Had a great time at the Chester Craft Fair today, even though it was a bad day for photography. I should have worn my "photography is not a crime Tshirt" .Even taking wide view shots got me in trouble with craft fair staff. I guess I understand that they do not want folks "stealing" ideas...But if I wanted to do that I could have written it in a notebook or used my cell.I tried to explain what I was doing but...it was fruitless. I really wanted to get some practice in with my 50mm today. I hardly ever use this lense.
Funny that you should mention it but the only time I've ever had someone really go for my throat was at a craft fair. Maybe all that therapuetic craft has to bite back. Nice DoF here
Great job, love the colors and the dof. I need one of those t-shirts. I don't go out too much with my camera (except iphone) and when I do, I feel like I'm going to get into trouble!
I guess they figure if you want to look at it you should buy it. I hear stories like this and am mindful that my little p & s may still come in handy once in a while as you can take a shot with it in the palm of your hand and no one will know!
Yes, it is really unfortunate that people get so bent out of shape when they see a "real camera", and people taking intentional pictures! What they really should watch out for are those cell phones because if I really wanted to steal their ideas I would be a lot more sneaky! Let me know where you get those T-shirts (or, when you get them made!), and I will order one!
Great shot. Pretty. I took pictures of a wreath I wanted to show someone to see if they might be interested in it. Even though I explained to the crafter what I was doing, the other crafters around complained about me stealing ideas. I was a crafter myself at this craft sale. I know people steal your craft ideas. However, I wouldn't have minded if someone took pictures of my crafts. If they stole my idea, I would have been flattered.

That is a bit silly, I'm sure if you were walking around with a phone taking pictures they wouldn't have a problem.
