Looking out the window while making phone calls to hospice programs that will take a dementia patient. My mother in law is in the final stages of this disease and the care she needs is almost impossible to give her at home. But it has to be a facility that will treat her with dignity and respect. This is all so very hard.I again apologize for my lack of commenting.Hoping to at least FAV and run.Looking at your projects is a bright spot in my day! :)
This is such a lovely fall season. So sorry for your hard season you are in. Hugs and love to you, Hope. Praying for wisdom as you look for a place for your mother in law. fav!
Thinking of you and your family at this difficult time. I hope that your beautiful view gives you momentary respite- you have captured it so perfectly. Fav!
This is a gorgeous autumnal shot, Hope. Sorry about what you have to go through with your mother in law....it is a terrible disease, and unfortunately too complicated to be treated at home at the late stages....hope you find the right place and care for her.
I hope that you can gain strength ... to help you through this troubled time... by being able to truly see and capture such wonderful beauty as this...
Lovely autumn view, in the face of such a sad time. So difficult for you and your family - I am very sorry. I hope you can find a suitable place for her.
Before I read your comments, I felt a sadness in this photo. My mother had Alzheimer's. she was in a nursing facility and it was hospice that helped to provide the dignity during her last year.
@randystreat thank you so much, Kathy. That us good to hear.We do have a wonderful hospice team. There are so many reasons she needs to be in a nursing home.It should be a much easier decision than it is.:(
@mzzhope Nope. Not easy. when my mother could no longer stand on her own I knew she couldn't be at home - few homes are set up to handle equipment needed. Will be thinking about you and saying some prayers.
This is gorgeous in color and composition! It has a touch of "softness" that make it so appealing--really love this, Hope. Big congrats on the Popular Page--it's a very deserving image.
Gorgeous shot - fav. I know how hard what you are going thru is - we had to place a family member in a dementia unit. We found that the closer it is the more often we can visit - being there all the time makes the staff more responsive. Also the patient to staff ratio should be high - otherwise they never get to the patients.
