I have a secret dark side.Hubby and I watch every horror movie out there.While I am a tree hugging,nature loving pacifist in my life...I enjoy the dark side in books,movies and other peoples photographs.Some of my favorite photographers on this site have a distinct dark edge to their work.While I was experimenting with tilt shift processing for the technique challenge on this b&w image, (of one of the homes on the Long Pond Ironworks historic site ) I found this filter called "Carmine" on PS for iPad...I was happily surprised to see that it picks up and highlights all the "reds" in images.I really,really like the creepy effect that it gave this image! I normally can never achieve this kind of thing. Bwahhhhhhh haaaaaaa I wouldn't go in there if I were you!:)
Wow, very creepy. Well done. I can't watch horror movies at all, In fact, I hate the Wizard of Oz because it freaks me out! LOL! We just may be complete opposites!
Whilst I have a tilt-shift lens and have never used it in this way and probably never will... This is fabulous for the distorted vision it creates and the selective colour is perfect for your love of horror flicks! I like the gothic and the macabre too. I could see this being the sort of scene that inspired Edgar Allan Poe! Well done, Hope. It is great to see you exploring your imagery further and further!

wow! My favorite thing is the red stems (blackberries? wineberries?, rasberries?) over on the right. I find them so beautiful in nature and but photographs just show a tangled mess! Perhaps the color-filter will help out. Oh, plus I love this picture!

I am similar - probably not as sweet and gentle as you but not a knife wielding psychopath mwahahaha - I like a dark edge and I have been a horror movie fan since I was a kid - I used to spend Friday nights watching scary movies on my own lol - and I love Stephen King and the like - :) this is awesome - fav
