Never go into the forest with just your macro lens.The very first time that I decided to bring just one lens is the day my friend the doe was there to greet me.I had to take the picture anyway!
@nicolecampbell because this was taken with my macro..cropping made it a pixilated mess.Like the title says..lesson learned.Never leave home without the zoom or telephoto.:)
It looks like your shallow DOF caught this baby's face just right... or, at least, her left ear. :) Actually, the foreground and background blur helps to focus on the deer, so a happy accident.
@mzzhope - that is a shame, I often do the same thing, mainly because I can't be bothered taking too much stuff. My husband is always asking me if I have the right lens!
