My little man,Newman the Guinea Pig was a post Easter rescue. People buy Guinea Pigs,Rabbits and Chicks for Easter as if they are toys....not concidering the care and love they will need long after the Easter Basket is forgotten.Newman was in a shelter and was rescued by Hug A Bunny Rabbit Rescue,then adopted by me. He is now happy and loved. You can tell a Guinea Pig is happy when they shake their head and jump around. That's called "popcorning". For animal-month :)
I had a little white guinea pig when I was a child and he used to squeak when I came home from school because he was happy to see me! I loved him so much and cried for what seemed like forever when he died. Lovely capture and brings back so many happy memories - Fav
So cute!, I had one as a kid. It crawled into our Hi Fi cabinet ( you have to be old to remember those) and it got so hot inside ... Well... He didn't make it out of there. So sad. Hadn't thought about that in ages. Hope yours fares better!
What a cutie. My kids are pestering me to get some because their cousins have some. Unfortunately my crazy destructive dogs take enough attention as it is.
