This collage tells a story. I saw these rusted items at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City yesterday. They tell a story of destruction and devastation.
The only objects in the image with an identifiable shape are land mines - a cheap method of destruction. Landmines have been and continue to be killers.
The remaining images are rusted remains of coins and cans burned and crushed through bomb and landmine explosions. These remains can be displayed in a museum because though charred, burned, and rusted, they survive unlike the human lives these landmines and bombs ended.
May we one day see a world where such things as landmines and bombs cease to exist, and peace remains.
