All of these photos were taken on Christmas Day. My kids (and their children) gather at our house on Christmas morning. The kids come wearing their pj's (sometimes my kids too) and we have Christmas breakfast together.
My husband set out scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, pancakes, french toast, hash browns, english muffins, and toast along with milk, juice, coffee and whatever sweets were left over from the evening before. It's our version of a buffet - but no one has to get dressed up to go.
When breakfast is finished the kids open their presents, the grown kids exchange their grab bag gifts and they open their presents from my husband and I. It's one hour of complete chaos.
When all is done, there's naps and football, kids playing with their gifts, snacking and then finally, we head over to my daughter's on the next block for Christmas dinner. (She wasn't one of the ones that got to nap!).
Great Tradition, except for the breakfast Pjs - we always had the same setup. Now we are not living so close these days, we do have variations. So happy for you and your family Barbara.
