I will be so glad when I finally move next weekend. Took more boxes over to my new place today and this little bird was very obliging, allowing me to get really close for a shot.
My 3 good things:
1. My son is having his friend over tonight for a sleepover, which he has been looking forward to all week and will allow me to catch up on work, as moms are banished from the playroom during such events!
2. Got my latest couple of "Popular Photography" magazine, which has become my new bedtime reading!
3. Enjoyed a nice cup of tea before my son woke up and watched "Eastenders" at 7 am this morning courtesy of YouTube. Yeah, yeah, I know it is a load of old rubbish (as my mum says), but it helps alleviate homesickness in some strange way. Can't believe how many English shows you can actually watch on YouTube.
@lesip Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 SLD DG Macro Lens with built in motor for Nikon digital SLR Cameras, $150 from Amazon. I have been very happy with this lens considering how reasonably priced it is.
@lesip I can't say enough good things about this lens. It also has a macro mode, which I am sure doesn't compare to a true macro lens, but I was on a limited budget. This shot came out great using this lens: http://365project.org/nancyperry/365/2013-01-02
@nancyperry i dont ever see them, but that doesnt mean they're not around. i'm never seem to be able to stay in one place long enough to capture birds, especially with Bella around :-)
I LOVE birds! It was fun browsing your photos. :) I'm new to 365, so I look forward to your pics for inspiration! Can't wait to get a real camera for bird photos. :)
Isn't it nice to find out the new neighbors are friendly? :-)
Lovely shot and the coloring in the background is perfect. He also picked a great spot to pose for you.
