Lucky has been here three weeks now so she was allowed out for the first time today! I was super nervous that she wouldn't come back. Then got really emotional like a Mum watching her kid go to their first day of school or something lol.
She went out and in a few times. Then went on a big adventure and eventually came back.
Unfortunately, the next time she went out, she encountered Niko, next doors cat. They've established that they're definitely not friends. They were circling each other and then had a big fight through the cat flap. So the rest of the day has been spent trying to encourage her back outside again. Hopefully in time they'll establish who's garden is who's because she has so much excess energy no matter how much I play with her so she really does need to be going on her own adventures (even though the house feels empty without her). Apart from that I've just been working on a cross stitch thing that I'm desperate to get finished so I can move on with my life and do some different projects, watched lots of TV, and not got out of my PJs.
Lovely shot... and thanks for sharing the story about Lucky... I sure can relate since I myself is the mom of two kitties... And your kitty is lucky (pun intended) to have such a caring home. Please scratch her chin a bit from me.
i watched a really interesting documentary about cats, they put trackers on all the cats in a village and recorded their movements for a period of time, in one case two cats shared the same territory, but at different times of day!
