I discovered this work I’d done a few years ago and decided I really liked it...it looks like ceramics is going to take a back step for a while and textiles and embroidery are going to make a comeback...

@merrelyn @seacreature @anniesue thank you all - and thank you for the fave Desi! I really enjoy hand stitching...find it very relaxing...whereas I find ceramics quite stressful.

So handstitch beautiful garments and other items instead of doing ceramics ...

@seacreature not sure if I’m up to “garments”... I don’t think I’ll give up ceramics all together...just put a few more eggs in a hand woven basket 😄

@narayani 😀 what about taking a plain store bought jersey or shirt and doing a few embroidered motifs on it and selling on. My favourite jersey to team with slacks or jeans when I go out in winter is a cream coloured pullover with brown embroidery in wood. It just dresses it up and gets loads of nice comments. Can send pic
