This is the Infinity Bridge in Stockton-on-Tees, just a few miles from where I live. Tonight was the first time I have seen it up close at night.
The Bridge and its reflection form the mathematical symbol for Infinity and hence it name.
Here I have tried to capture the essence of the bridge.
I could be posting a number of Bridges this week as my brother in law (@mrgtrueman) and I are having a weekly mini competition. Last week I won in the "Bird off" (you can see the photos in the competitions section).
I love this picture, makes me want to come to Stockton-on-Tees just to see if I could replicate it but I doubt I could do so well, beautifully executed and great exposure.
@wenzi@mrgtrueman@xlix@judithdeacon Thanks all,
It is a really nice bridge. A bonus is the walkway is lit up with blue lights but as you walk across it the blue lights fad down as you pass by them and white lights fade up. A few seconds later the white light fades down and the blue comes back. So as you walk across you get a trail of white light following you.
mini challenges are the way forward, we've not discussed another week, but I bet from the popularity of shadows it won't happen. Love this, especially the purple lighting.
I can't believe you picked a subject this week where you had such an amazing bridge near by. I need to get my thinking cap on to win this one. I feel a 45 min drive coming on straight after work on Tuesday!
@mrgtrueman Keep an eye on my Flickr; I have made an album that will also include the ones that did not make it. I also did the Tees Barrage tonight. I think you have already guessed there are a few more bridge I could chase down plus a viaduct in Yarm ;-)
My brother in law (@mrgtrueman) and I are setting ourselves a weekly family challenge. This week we will see who can take the best bridge photo. Be sure to check out Graham's photos to.
Also look out for a vote thread in the competitions discussion board on Thursday when we will be looking for all you lovely people to judge who has taken the best photo.
Goodness, that's in Stockton? When was it built?

Thank you for the link. Should've thought to Google it myself :-D
Thanks all for you appreciation.
