Quartz And Galena

This is a rock sample that lives in our bathroom. It's composed of Amethyst and Milky Quarts with deposits of Galena.

For scale the dull silvery blob of Galena on the left is about 1cm in diameter.

Inspiration for this photo came from Alison Bailey (@dulciknit) who has a couple of amazing photos of Quartz Crystals in her 365 album.

Next time I think I'll try photographing it in the daylight as the florescent lights in the kitchen don't really do it justice.
