excellent shot. I would almost like to imagine how this would turn out with a tilt shift editing application. Even though I would much more rather have a drive in the car.
@xodiac - If you mean fisheye, no, its a 24 -105 canon L on a full frame canon 5D MkII. with all those square lines the fisheye would play hell with the perspectives which is not my favorite effect.
@xodiac - LOL. Sorry, I have no idea about old cars, so not sure what model it was. I just took a fancy to it since it was a lovely car in just the the right place for the shot. I knew the name because the silver label on the boot ('trunk' if American) said what it was. It caught my eye because both the names 'Healey' and 'Austin' are evocative and memorable ones for me. ---> Laughing at myself now... tee hee...!
Ah yes, I know someone who has one of those. He actually used to be a race car driver, but now he's all old and broken, as hobbies like that will do to a person. I love that car
That is a beautiful AH. Looks like a 100-6, probably early 60's. I owned a 1966, 3000 MkIII, for which I payed about $3,000 (USD) upon graduation from college. This weekend, at the vintage races at Lime Rock Park, I saw the identical car for sale at $45,000.00. Oh well!
Love the image, LOVE the car.
