Building at Kew Gardens

Kew Gardens is probably the best known botanical garden in the world. Collections of plants on the site date back more than three centuries and boast an impressive list of benefactors. Now a source of leisure and scientific research the gardens are renown for their extraordinary collection of trees and shrubs.

On a short visit with my son, who just started a horticulture course at college, we spotted this lovely building. I know nothing about it. However the striking red brick was an instant wow for me.

I'm struck by how many chimneys too, and that crazy tree next to the house - it looks like it's dancing :)

It's Kew Palace, which is where George III spent much of his time (both when he was lucid but especially when he was "mad"). A great shot.
