Here are just a few of the wonderful people that I talked with and photographed at yesterdays veterans luncheon. Lovely people who had to do some horrific things and live through terrible times. Ordinary people who were brave and frightened, tough and tender. We owe them, and all of those who did not return, a debt that cannot be repaid.

Indeed we do. Great pictures of great men and women. I'm reading a book right now about WWII (did I tell you this already?) It's called Unbroken. I'm only about half-way through it but wow, it describes the atrocities of war in a powerful way.
Great collage and wonderful tribute. There's so much history that will just "be lost" when these people pass on. It's so sad.
My father was part of the Raiding Support Regiment, which worked in conjunction with the SAS. Luckily there is a book being written about this tiny Regiment which is not well known at all, but had a lot of South Africans who had joined the Parachute Regiment, in it.
I like this very very much. These people are living testaments to the sacrifices that are made in war and your collage is a very vivid reminder of that. It's a beautiful, thought-provoking piece of work, Mr.N. Respect!
