An interesting shot last time and some good answers. It is a type of lamp stand. In fact is like an angle poise lamp, but it has a modeling magnifying glass on it. You could not see that so a lamp would have done. Well done to those who got it right.

Clever and correct people...

mittens (Marilyn) - To me it looks like a swing arm thingy you find in a dentist's office. Net says:-->> Oooops! No, but a Doohicky Award! Yaahy!

Alison Bailey - As someone whose masochistic tendencies take the form of a monthly visit to the chiropractor, my first thought was that it's part of the torture, sorry - treatment bench.
My second thought was that it's the 'elbow' part of an anglepoise lamp. It's very clean. Do you polish your mystery objects so they look their best when you take their portraits? Net says:-->> Correct on the answer, but you get todays longest answer award too! LOL! Yeehaaasa!

Mary - Is it a hole puncher? Net says:-->> Oh do keep up! That was the week before - Huge LOL... Nice one.

Janet Shaffer - Bad puns. Good close up. :-) Net says:-->> Why thank you [netblush!]

Shirley Chetwynd - or possibly one of those large magnifying glasses that elderly people use to read. Net says:-->> Well, actually a large magnifying glass that this very young person (LOL) uses to do very fine mechanical jobs and still life model work! Other wise, CORRECTOMUNDO!!! Yeaaaaahhaasa!

Sue Wilde - It's the thingey which is just beside my right shoulder as I type, only this is a white one instead of a black one...Very illuminating grasshopper! Net says:-->> Huge LOL... So, a Kung Fu angle lamp then! LOL... A dohicky award! Yeeeeahhhhhhhhhhhaaaa!

Dione Giorgio - Part of a bike? Neat shot. Net says:-->> Oooops! No, but a Doohicky Award! Yaahy!

Nicely done everyone! A good one this time. Thanks for the fun.

Sorry I have not been around much this week. A heavy workload and a seriously heavy cough have taken the toll. Thankfully recovering now.
Take care!
I believe this is the bottom side of a bed of nails. :)

I agree with Karenann. Looks like my heat pump filter for the air intake. Sure is unusual!

A beehive...or air conditioning filter.

It looks like some sort of light deflector, reflector, or diffuser, possibly a section of glass over a lantern or street lamp. It's a great shot because of the way the light is hitting it. One spot may look hollow or smooth and another solid and raised. Great game!! Sudoko for the eyes!
