Very nice looking farm to visit - exotic breeds around these days - know of a farm where they have several alpaca (very similar to llama which this one probably is).

I vote alpaca--I think that llamas have longer necks...but it's tough to say. :-) Nice photo---

too funny - they are getting to be so popular.i have read that llamas are being used to keep wolves from sheep. just a few will do for very large herds. amazing. don't they spit?

(Is it an Alpaca? rather than a Llama) Anyways they are closely related. Alpaca's are used here in Australia also to keep foxes away from herds of sheep while lambing. The are herd animals and look after their flock, even if the flock is a different species
