I like the composition - an odd number of arches, of course ;) - and the invitation to explore the view further. Nice depth.

wonderful framing. Interesting how they could build those stone buildings and now all the roofs are missing. Wonder if they were thatch?

@sailingmusic - It is possible it was thatched. But more likely slate. This is part of a very old abby.

Interesting article as always, the light is well balanced to show everything here.the casement windows are lovely and the view to the lovely arches. So nice to see the view through them. Makes an ongoing shot.

@maggiemae - yes, each and every one has a tiny triangular pane of glass in it. All windows were like that once. The lead beading holds them all in place.
