Well, blown out jets aside the jet car "Fire Force" did run. The sound of the engine when running is just like an airplane jet and every bit as noisy. The car is very very quick to leave the start line. So in order to make sure I captured it I froze the action. Here it is at full speed. Just look at the heat coming out of the back.

That is one crazy engine for a car! I guess if Jay Leno can have on on a motorcycle, someone can slap one in a car, too. I bet earplugs were a welcome accessory. Great capture!
