Ham House - Fisheye view of the side garden

Beside the arch of trees is a garden with some wonderful evergreens. They were laid out in the block pattern you see, but I took advantage of the wide angle of the fisheye lens to make the whole thing seem a world on its own!

@raebell @karenann
Yes, I love the fisheye lens. However, it has to be used in certain places. Sometimes the shots just look plain wierd. But pictures where a central subject is made to stand out work particularly well.

it's a knot garden with herbs - that one in the foreground is santolina which is an Elizabethan strewing herb, the ones they had on the floor to make life smell better

All the bushes are so well manicured.

How interesting! Santolina.I thought it was lavender. And I wonder if Shanne knows what is the difference between a knot garden and a parreterre? Wonderful shot.
