Yes, it was a spanner. Did everyone get it? I think so. I really need to have more difficult ones lined up. Oh yea! Like the next one I did yesterday... Tee hee.

Honorable mentions...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mike Warren - 1/2 of an open end wrench Net says:-->> Or a spanner even! Yah ooooo eee!
Tashy - Im not much of a tool person but I call these things spanners....Net says:-->> Ya got it! Yeehaa!
Paula Brumbe - In America we call it a plain old regular wrench. Please note that it is not an Allen, adjustable, impact, socket, torque, or monkey. I do not believe we have a fancy name for the traditional wrench over here. Net says:-->> In proper English its a Spanner! Grin.... Yeehaa!
Paula Brumbe - Oh, I was trying to be direct and to the point today. Did I get too technical? - Net says:-->> No, its OK I coped. I try hard. I am very trying.... Tee hee. Yeeha!
Diana Horn - open ended wrench... Net says:-->> Wow! Thats technical. Nice one. Yeehaa!
Sue Wilde - That's not a wrench...Proper people call it a spanner! I'm very proper. Net says:-->> Double cool and plain speaking. Love it. Nice one Sue. I like proper. Yeeehaaa!
Thanks for coming by and joining in the fun. See ya!
Ours are a bit more sophisticated on this side of the pond. They look very much like wooden clothes pins... and, in most cases they are wooden clothes pins. But, when in service not pinning clothes, they are often used to keep the old bags closed. Maybe bags of chips, maybe not.
Being in the healthcare field, it actaully looks like a clip for on the end of a colostomy pouch.
I was kind of on the same medical thing as @digitalrn but I will go with the blue clip for the ice bag that they give you at the hospital after surgery or injury.
