More railway walks

Another photo taken on the railway walk on way to great Grandmas. Not sure if I've pushed the black and white curves too far but I still like it. What do you all think? Thanks for commenting on my project so far and kind wishes for my neck. A day off rest, painkillers and hot water bottles sorted it out.
Well in b&w, great shot!

I like it, the overexposure, for me you've not overdone it, I love the reflections of the trees too. Great shot!

Sam
I love it - I think you have done a great job with your processing :) The shadows from the trees are awesome.

Striking shot.

The over exposure does work with the shadows and detail on the boy and trees. I like the figure in the background too

I really like the curves feature, you can do so much with it, I think you have just got it right.

This is stunning, a fantastic shot

Brilliant photo! Love this, beautiful :)

Actually I like the overexposure. It really accentuates those shadows and the two figures. A fav

I like the exposure as well. It gives it a bit of moodiness to it. It also creates a stronger focus on the walker as the trees fade away in the background.

I like it too. It creates a mood of wonderment.

It's got a real magical feel, like the one I posted of my grandsons. Lovely!

Brilliant processing.

Really interesting! I like the black and white and the young boy walking to Grandmas.

I do like this high contrast processing, it creates a story like atmosphere. Well done, you must be on the right track! Keep experimenting!

B&W is my favorite. I often push it to the extreme in post processing . I really enjoy the contrast of the shot.
Great job.

I think the processing is spot on. I would of maybe cropped it a bit more on the left side.

Love the light, shadow and composition, and most of all, the look of happy anticipation on your son's face. This is a fav for me. So glad the neck is better.

I really like the processing of this one! Makes it very striking and an all around beautiful shot! :) x

Oh this is sweet. Very nicely captured and processed here!

A terrific B&W capture. Love the composition, processing and the facial expression is priceless...brill.

It's great. The curves creates huge contrast, which can often make a shot far more interesting than the original by stripping out the detail that isn't needed. I really like what you've done with this.

I think this is great; the processing has really added a story to the shot which was already interesting. Fav!

As long as the B&W shot has good tonality ranging from white to black, as this does, it works for me. Your high key treatment is the artistic twist you give to the shot. I like it.

Great shot.

Oh! WOW! This is a fascinating shot. You are much more adventurous with you b/w processing than I am. I try to capture and show all the tones: deep black to not quite burnt out highlights if I can, but in emphasising the extremes you have produced a very effective photograph. Excellent creative choice.. so important that the boy is set against the light ground I think. FAV! Of course!
